As i was unloading my gear out of the car, you could hear the fish splashing in the reeds. I had a quick look, the fish were taking advantage of the hot weather and spawning had begun...
Back at the draw everyone wanted the swims at the car park end, who would be the lucky people today...

The match started and i only waited 30mins for my first fish. Then it was a mad 45 mins of catching Chub & Ide. It didn't seem to last long, then back to normal. I picked up the odd fish through most of the match. While the inside provided me with one lost carp run.
I needed plan C, out came the feeder rod with an hour to go. With a loaded cage feeder and corn on the hook. It was dispatched to the far side. The rod shot off the rest and was soon into carp. I stuck with this method to the end, which gave me half a dozen fish...
Humpalumpa had drawn the first peg (No1) and weighed in a staggering 134lb+ He has broke the record in two successive days. Excellent job phil
I managed to weigh a sorry looking 16lb 12oz
Mark did well fishing under the tree, next to us for 43lb
Next match, Cleveley Bridge NO! Brekky for me
