The owners sold a variety of pellet/paste baits. I opted for Pellet Cloud and 3mm Feed Pellets.....
We were booked on two ponds Nooky Hollow and Bensons Creek.....
When everyone turned up. The usual pre-match meeting was held. Then the Draw. I pulled out peg 5 on Nooky Hollow.....
At my peg i had a look round. There was a tree over hanging on the far bank and plenty of reeds at the nearside
There was no question of my swims to feed today. I just had to get the baits right...I was told Hemp was good on here..doh
. I had left it at home. So i set up my rigs, had a fag and worked out my tactics.....
From the off i was into fish...Mainly Carp. So no photo's
My swims turned on and off the whole day, which made it slightly annoying, but there are plenty of fish in these here waters. The variety of fish is astounding. I saw Carp (many varieties), Crucian Carp, Chub, Barbel, Roach, Bream, Tench, Golden Orfe, Goldfish and a Shububkin. Astounding
Most of the anglers on my section were close (on weight) by the end of the match. Apart from two....???????
Trevor took to the scales for the weigh in........
First up was Nick.....24lb 3oz.....
Then Adam.....23lb 13oz.....
It was Brian " The Clowns
" turn.............Trev had to look hard for the fish...but managed to find a brace .....2lb 8oz.....
Colin was next.....21lb 13oz.....
Then me.....24lb 8oz.....
Terry's turn.....21lb 14oz.....
Finally it was Trevor "I haven't got that much".....37lb 6oz.....
It was a great days fishin'. Need to do it again......SOON !
