Fished really well, whiting from the start, with a sprinkling of codling, some good whiting with the best being about one and a half pound, not that busy been worse, didnt have to do any knitting anyway.
Spoke to one of the skippers as they waited for marina gates to open, 3 boats in river but no cod all whiting.
Mind you saying that though a fella a little way up towards Harry Ramsdens lost a 7lb der as he brought it up the wall (his estimate).
general consensus is that the river has now got a few fish running. Roll on next week

we blanked

it was probably down to the easterly winds etc more than the venue, will try it again when its more settled, nice deep water close in

it wasnt at noddiesville, it was a new mark to both of us over the wirral side, even though we blanked we will try it again when conditions are more favorable

Noddiesville??????????????

I've met and had some very enjoyable sessions with liked minded anglers with a good laff, joke, shared experiences and shared info thrown in for good measure.
Admittedly there are one or two less experienced anglers that frequent this venue but we all have to start somewhere and if it means I have to Knit one Pearl one every now and again well so be it, a quiet word and helpful hint is normally appreciated.
