Round 6 saw us at seaforth 20 anglers turned out for this one on a brite but chilly afternoon so with everyone booked on we all made the long walk down the side of the lake and all met up at the top of the ramp once everyone was there everyone was told the safe route to the sea and we all set off soon enough it was 2pm and all in was called after the first hour it looked like it was going to be slow with only the odd dab and whiting this continued for most of us but there was quite a few dabs and whiting up and down the beach but once again no codling.
The beach was back to being all muddy but not quite as bad as usual and between us all different rigs and baits were used with big baits and hooks going out and some with small hooks. So into the last hour it would be down to who would get a third species to add to their card with quite a few with 2 species 6 pm soon came and back to the carpark so while everyone helped themselves to a hot drink I totaled up the scores with the help of Dave Radcliffe so the results were as follows
1st Mike Bishton who found a dab a whiting and a flounder for a total of 79cm
2nd was Robert Turner with a dab a whiting and a rockling for 68cm
3rd went to Jordan Roberts with a dab and whiting for 57cm
4th was Dale Edwards with a dab and a whiting for 55cm
5th Jeff White 54cm
6th mark Davies 53cm
7th Chris James 52cm
8th Tom Murphy 51cm
9th Dave Radcliffe 50cm
10th Dylan Kensall 49cm
Biggest flat fish went to Tom Murphy with a 28cm dab
Biggest round fish was shared with Jordan Roberts and Dale Edwards both with a whiting of 30cm
The golden peg this week was number 11 and all he had to do was win the match and this was mike bishton who went on to win the match and collected the pot which with today was £75
Well done to all the winners and a big thanks to Dave and Jordan Roberts with a little help from Dave Radcliffe for making sure everyone who wanted worm had at least 1 pack of fresh each which was very difficult with the tides and weather All week
