Crab hunting

Post by Local/Brian »

I was asked by 2 anglers new to bait collecting if I would show them the ropes on collecting crab.
So I took them around the groynes local at new brighton and in the river mersey.
Idea was show them how to collect peeler . Softback and crinkle back crab .
I was shocked at the state of things with lazy don't give a foot so called anglers that had just turned the place upside down  .
Now if this is done in this Manor by obviously local anglers how do they think they can go out again and get more crab :?:
Crab use the underside or rocks weed and structure for hiding and shelter but not if you leave it like it had been left .
Just replace stuff as was and then you should have crab back in the same place next tide.
Come on now its not hard if you can move it you can replace it.
