Longest Fish Pool - Gary Swift...….. Bull Huss 98cm (£12)

12 anglers turned out for round 2 at Talacre on a dry overcast morning to fish down to and over low water. Fishing was surprisingly slow for the first hour with only a couple of fish making an appearance including this Bass for Ben Boots...……………..

You can pretty much guarantee that the Hounds will put in an appearance at this venue and whilst not the in great numbers they were still present and a few people began to get amongst them including Roy Schofield...………………

Image

The surprise of the day was the number of Tope caught, whilst not massive they were not pups either, really good to see from the shore. Jeff White with a typical example...……….

Image

The longest fish pool on the day went to Gary Swift however who with an hour to go had a stonking bite followed by a stonking fight which resulted in this cracking double figure Huss of 10lb 8oz and measuring 98cm...…………………

Image

Mark Davies was the man who took the win however taking 3 hounds along with 2 Tope including tis one, giving him a total of 366cm on a day of variety rather than quantity...…….

Well done Mark and great huss Gary

Was just good to be out again and the company was excellent. A long walk but the venue always at least produces something

Highlight of the day, Ava to Dyl - "that mans got a fish as well - you're going to have to get your fishing head on now"
Only here for the cod!
