Final Overall Standings and Presentation

It was always going to be a close finish for the top 3 positons overall due to the last two matches being dominated by Whiting and Dabs however I don't think anyone could have predicted quite how close it ended up being. It literally came down to one centimeter in the end to decide the overall winner!

Whilst all the calculations and workings out were done everyone settled down to a well earned dinner in the warmth of the pub, where the food again was excellent....................



So to the results...................

3rd Place Overall in this years Winter League goes to Dale Edwards with a total of 41 Points and 288cm. Dale missed the first three matches due to holidays so he has shown fantastic consistency in the matches he has fished and this was the case again in the final match with a joint 2nd place finish to take 3rd place overall. Well done Dale and well fished......................



2nd Place Overall in this years Winter League goes to Mark Davies with a total of 54 Points and 367cm. Mark has fished brilliantly this Winter including two match wins and a 2nd place from the 8 matches as well as other top 6 finishes. Well done Mark and really well fished................



1st Place Overall in this years Winter League with a total of 54 Points for 413cm goes to myself. It really could not have been closer as going into the final match, with the dropped scores taken into consideration I needed to beat Mark by 3 Points. Mark's lowest score to drop before the final match was 5 points meaning I had to hope that Mark did not better that and then I needed to finish at least 4th to score the 8 Points I needed with my own dropped scores to get over the line. I did end up finishing 4th by a single centimeter which meant I was lucky enough to just get over the line for the league win......................

Very close finish... Adam and Mark fished well consistently all winter, shame someone has to just miss out.

Thanks to Adam for organising this league and to dave who has done his best to supply bait for every round which has always been the best quality available and never let anyone down which is a miracle with some of the tides we have had.
This year's league had a good turnout for all the matches which is great and such a great bunch of lads to fish with.
Well done to Adam on the win it was always going to come down to the wire.
I think that it was the visitor you had on the beach that gave you the edge he's growing up fast.

Thanks Adam for taking the time to organise the league, well done to the top three and all who managed to get points especially in some of the more difficult match conditions, thanks for all the advice from all the seasoned campaigners, hope to fish a few more of the summer ones but might be changing jobs so we'll see how it works out.
