Longest Specimen Fish Pool.........Dale Edwards - Plaice (£18)

Unfortunately not the end to the Summer League that we all wanted with a war of attrition at Vale Park with fish few and far between meaning that anyone who was able to find any form of fish would be right up there in contention.

With it being the final match the as well as the match win there was also the final standings in the overall league to be decided with Dave Radcliffe coming into the final round with the lead from Dave Roberts and Paul Tucker.

On the day Dale Edwards was the only man to be able to find two fish for his card, both of them Plaice and this being the better one which would give him both the match win and the best specimen fish pool on the day........................



Sean Dowd found a Ray for second place and Mark Davies found a solitary Plaice for third.

In terms of the overall standings at the top, the three leaders were all blanking meaning it was going down to the wire and any three of them who could find a fish would take the title at the death and one of them did and it was Dave Roberts who had never been so glad to see a Dab!......................

A very hard match.Well to all that caught and well done to the top 3 in the league. A big thank you must go out to Adam,Dave Rob and Dave Rad for running a very good summer league. Roll on the winter league were I hope to continue my scintillating run of form.

Pity the fish did`nt play ball,but as with all of the league matches it keeps it wide open for anyone to win.....well done for running another great series of matches.
