Longest Specimen Fish Pool - Gary Swift - Smoot Hound 98cm - 512 Points (£10)

Thankfully Talacre yet again produced the goods for the lads that made the walk and this match saw plenty of fish hitting the bank. There were a total of 8 species caught with Smooth Hounds, Rays, Sole, Flounder, Plaice, Dabs, Bass and a strap Conger all making an appearance.

Roy Schofield was straight into the Hounds as he usually is at this venue with a good fish first cast............................



Dave Roberts finally found his Sole after years of searching!......................



The Hounds kept coming to those who had fresh crab including this nice fish for Dave Radcliffe.................



And also to Rob Turner...........................



The best Hound of the day fell to Gary Swift who was hot onto Roy's tail and it was Roy who continued to lead the way as the Ray's came on the feed over low water......................



Ste Atkinson landed a bonus strap Conger of 62cm as well as also finding the Ray's.......................



It was however to be Roy's day yet again at a venue he consistently does well at with Gary Swift and Ste Atkinson making up the top 3.

Sorry I missed this one but good to see it still fishing well Its a great venue. I’m hopefully going to have another bash at it in the next couple of weeks see if I can winkle out a Hound before they disappear

One of the best venues in the NW,
That was a lovely hound Gary,
A good mixture of species taken in this match. Be nice to see a league table for the species cup before the last match ??? I am sure some lads have taken quite a mixture now.

Well done Roy well deserved .
It was another great day with great company and Daniel finally got to fish talacre and finally realised that it was a very long walk (dad wasn't lying) but he managed it and enjoyed himself.
And thanks to the two Dave's for keeping us all in order
