Longest Specimen Fish Pool - Stu Davies - Bass 43cm - 80 Points (£17)
Round 3 saw the first visit to Wales for this years Summer League with Pensarn being the venue. Decidedly difficult weather conditions meant that the fishing would be little more challenging however undeterred the lads were all up for the challenge and determined to find a few fish............
There was some good colour and movement in the water which meant hopes were high that the Bass would be present and it wasn't long before a few fish stated to make an appearance. Dylan Kensall finding a bar of silver......................
Richie Fisher was also amongst the Bass......................
There fish were not present in and significant numbers and it therefore became a scratching match with anyone able to find fish getting themselves right in the mix. Dave Roberts was another to find the Bass..........................
As did Sean Dowd..........................
Stu Hayes was also getting in amongst the fish finding 3 Bass to put himself right in contention whilst Dave Radcliffe also found 3 Bass as well as a Flounder to mount his own challenge for the match win. The best Bass on the day however fell to Stu Davies who took this 43cm fish which was enough to give him the specimen fish pool on the day...................
As the match drew to a close it was tight at the top with the top 3 all having three Bass on their cards along with a Whiting for Dave Radcliffe and a Flounder for Richie Fisher and it was the size of the fish that proved crucial in this format with the length to points conversion giving Richie Fisher the hard fished win.
