Best Specimen Fish Pool - Paul Tucker - Thornback Ray 39cm - 98 Points (£14)
Round 2 saw 14 anglers endure a difficult day at the office with challenging weather conditions as well as challenging fishing conditions making bites and therefore points hard to come by!

Heavy rain was present throughout the match with the odd dry spell which meant it was a tad uncomfortable out on the bank but everyone carried on undeterred in the hope of finding some fish.
It was clear from the off that this was not going to be a fish filled match with many struggling to get off the mark and people only taking a single fish here and there with many blanking well over half way into the match. Some people did find some fish and the majority of these were small Rays. Stu Davies added one to his card............................

As did Paul Tucker with a 39cm fish that would prove enough to win the specimen fish pool for 98 points on a difficult day. Jordan Roberts then also found one to get himself up into contention..........................

As did Dave Roberts however this would prove to be his only bite for the entire match........................

There were other species taken with Plaice and a Bass also being caught, whilst Roy Schofield took two late Flounder in the last 15 minutes to turn a blank into 60 points, however it was Stu Davies who was able to find 5 fish on a very challenging day to take the win in tough conditions from Paul Tucker and Jordan Roberts in second and third.
