any recomendations????

I`d opt for the deeper water on the Liverpool side of the river....Mariners Wharf is an ideal spot for a beginner

Head for the Albert Dock...keep going ahead and you`ll come to a MacDonalds (on your left) and Leo Casino (on your right)...you need to be in the outside lane as soon as you get to these,then you turn right at the lights on to Sefton Street,then take the first right turn on to Mariners Wharf...follow the road ahead and you`ll come round to the marina/restaurant...follow ahead on the road to your right (posh flats either side) and after 200yds you come to a dead end...park here then it`s up to you where you fish....either side of the lock entrance is productive and popular,though the "bullnose" is fancied by many for better cod....just walk over the lock on to the other side and fish off the front....be careful and vigilant for boat traffic if fishing close to the entrance......better off giving yourself 50yds to avoid any hassle
