Crab Collecting

Hi can anyone tell me a local spot were i can collect crabs as i have never tried before, Cheers Phil.

It`s not that easy if you have`nt done it before..... If i don`t have too much to drink on Sat night i`ll be having a look at Leasowe on Sunday from 7am.

Hopefully I'll be collecting crabs from my local tackle shop on Saturday afternoon on the way home from an afternoon of drinking, playing snooker and watching sport on the TV. If my order turns up.

Used to get plenty before the Chinese arrived...had one look last year with Tony and failed miserably,though others found them......

Many anglers say razors are only of any use when fished after stormy conditions,yet on my last cod hunt at Easington,during a good settled spell,the lad to my left had 4 x 4lbers on big razor baits and on last Sunday with Dave at Dimmo (after a settled week) we both had plenty of action on razor....might be certain baits work better in certain areas,but i`ll be getting plenty in my freezer for next winters cod hunts.

Razor a very underestimated bait , I would fill my freezer full of them very good bait ,had plenty flounder and bass on them at pensarn , and bass I've had from there when it's been really rough have been stuffed full of them

I will have to get over to Wales some time Tim when I get the chance to get a few, only thing I can manage this weekend is a early Sunday morning linford session while my lads tucked up in bed, good luck on your bass hunt

Low water`s 6.45am so i`ll be parking up in bay 1 at 5.30am......Phil you drive all the way down Lifeboat Rd,through the woods,then turn right at the bottom and bear left to the first car park....i`ll be in a black Mondeo.
