River Levels

Don`t know if there is still such a service,but a few years back when i did a lot of coarse fishing you used to be able to ring and find the water levels on various rivers....very handy to know,as we always did well for barbel on the Severn if it was 1m above normal and falling.....some rivers fished better at certain levels,others fish worse....it`s always handy to know the levels/water temps to build up form guides e.t.c,so does anyone know the score

If it is a local river why not get out there and see for yourself?

I thought there was a number on the back of the water license.I am in work so I can,t check to be certain.
