Match Report: NWASAC Summer League 1st Round, Sun 4th May 2014, Caldy, Wirral (24 rods).

Flounders and eels came on the feed from the first cast when competitors were out on the mud banks to meet the flooding tide. The fish fed throughout the match on a day when the estuary was calm with hardly a breath of wind.
Preston’s Stuart Dewhurst kicked off this year’s league in style, catching his winning 520 cms. total from the downriver section of the match length; crab was the successful bait.
