Match Report: 2nd round of NWASAC Personal Members Championship 2014, Sat 22.3.14, Aigburth, Liverpool (24 rods).

On a very blustery day on the Mersey estuary, the match developed into a battle between the two anglers who had drawn the end pegs- these happened to be England Internationals Ashley Sampson (on upriver peg 1) and Heather Lindfield at the downstream end of the venue.
Small codling made up the bulk of the catches with crab just having the edge over worm baits.
Although Heather recorded the most fish, the verdict went to Ashley with better average size of fish for a length weight conversion total of 4240 grammes, however, Heather had the consolation of the roundfish pool with a sizeable codling.
