Chub on the Douglas
Had the afternoon free and as it was warm, still and looked like it would stay dry, I thought I'd head up to the Douglas at Rufford for a couple of hours. Bait was some worms from the garden, which I thought would be good in the high coloured water. Got there about 3:30pm and walked from the bridge at the Station upstream to beyond the power lines. I worked my way downstream trotting a home made goose quill and balsa avon float set to trip bottom and managed a couple of nice dace and a one chub of about 2lb. Not bad considering the river was well up.

Tight lines, Karl......
