Match Report: 2nd round of N.W.A.S.A.C. Personal Members Championship, Sat 10.3.12, Llandudno North Shore, Conwy (26 rods).


2011 joint champion, Joe Perry took the lead in the series after a resounding win from the rockier and more productive Zone B on this spectacular steep-to shingle beach that runs between the Great and Little Orme headlands.
Despite perfect conditions on a starlit night where one of the biggest tides of the year saw anglers start the match down on the flat sand well away from the shingle, sizeable fish were very hard to locate on some pegs. Fishing was, however, a great improvement on last year’s round at the same venue with dogfish on some pegs making all the difference.
Aintree’s Paul Molyneux, who has hardly wet a line in the past 6 months, showed that he has lost none of his touch by winning Zone A for second overall.
