As i crossed the bridge at Little Eccleston it started to rain, When i arrived at the venue, it was pooring down. So i waited in the car for it to stop, it didn't.
I donned my waterproofs, drew my peg 22 (peg 2 on the Willows).
Down at my peg the umbrella was up in a jiffy. The rest, i took my time over. It looked "Fishy", but was deep. At the whistle my bait went in, then, i waited and waited.................Nothing

It was chucking it down.....

I managed a small skimmer and a tench. I decided to move to the inside. The bites came straight away but were short lived...more skimmers, a tiny perch and a couple of roach...................That was it
The sun did come out, That made the fishing worse...boredom set in and the camera came out again.....

Ashley, faired a lot better on the peg next to me. He did something right
My float stayed motionless to the end.....

So i finished up with 2lb 12oz
Lets hope we do better at Rawcliffe
