We fished Copthorne New Canal today. The usual motley crew turned up......

Having a look at the venue before the draw i fancied peg 2... Never got it, Bazza Pretwich had the honours :) .....

I drew peg 23 (another double trip...No trolley yet), next to the one i had last time...Having a look at my peg, i had an opening in front of me. When i set up the gap was shallower than my hook length 6 inches :( .......

Brought the million and one baits and ended up on the humble maggot all day. I started fishing just before the gap and caught straight away. That soon died off and moved straight to the inside. It was a slow start, but after a short while i got my swim built up. I caught steadily all day and finished up with the same weight as last week 36lbs 12oz. Whats the chances of doing that twice in a row :?:

T'was a good day for me and had a really fine mixed bag of fish.

really? yes I've got more scouse friends than before. :lol:
I don't do much sea fishing now, might only on boat. Concentrate of coarse fishing in liverpool local parks at the moment. Had some good days last month, once 19 tench a session broke my PB tench 6lb 12oz well chuffed. 8)
