Bagging Waggler

Fancy a go at this in the summer - with my 6lb rated 'power' waggler rod.
What appeals to me is it targets bigger fish, the float self cocks whatever the depth and it has an element of feeding the swim. Looks like good exercise too...

Will I need heavier gear than this to cast the baggin' waggler ? like a 'carp waggler' rod ? or even a lightish carp rod...? and heavier line....

Sorry for all the questions - but I'm more of a feeder man at the mo'.

A waggler rod would not handle the weight too well at least an avon stlye or a heavy feeder rod would stand more chance.
That method can work well on some of the bigger overstocked carp lakes like Drayton but it would not work as well on the local waters to us because most of them ban groundbait and have not got the space necessary to get a lot of fish competing for food at a range they would feel safe at.

got to agree wholeheartedly with ken here, now the pellet waggler will be different, definately worth having a go with these in the summer, band a nice big 8mmm halibut about a foot deep and keep firing in those pellets 6 -10 every minute, soon have those carp going for it

I ain't even heard of a pellet waggler - what in the wide world of sport is it ?

BTW the power waggler rod is a leeda XGT 13ft 3-6lb - I use it on the Trent and Severn - solid bit of kit with only appreciable bend in the tip section, - think it should be able to flick a 20g bagging and lump of feed/bait - but not too sure.
I've got a full range of feeder rods so I may go down that route

a pellet waggler is basically a big thick (like millsy) waggler made of balsa so it can take a bit of weight, act like a bolt rig in effect ,only fish about 1 foot deep, keep firing the pellets in little and often and the fish will come up in the water, you cant mistake the bites
