There are several routes to get to Wylfa but basically just come onto the island and follow the signs for Wylfa Nuclear Powerstation. Turn off the A5025 onto the approach road for the power staion. Just before the main gates turn right and follow down to the car park. Walk through the kissing gate and follow the footpath.
You can fish anywhere from the headland on your left, the beach in the centre and the rocks to the right. A lot of it can be very difficult, but the bit from the beach to the look-out hut about half a mile to the left is easiest.
The headland shows wrasse, pollack, codling and conger in the summer, and whiting, dabs, doggies and the occasional codling in the winter.
The inside is much the same but also coalies, bullhuss and even ling.
Contrary to popular belief, the fish have neither three eyes nor glow in the dark
**Bass are one of the main targets,with spinning/plugging from the big rock at the entrance, in to the massive warm water outflow.....the calm water holds good size mullet too.
