Lingmere Fishery - match lake 2006-05-01

Mathew and me arrived Lingmere Fishery at around 7:20am, only a few pegs left at the pleasure lake. We just tried something new and fished the match lake. We chose to fish straight to the wind which we believe the fish will be there!

That's true that I managed 2 nice tenchs in 30min and Mathew also managed a few fish.

The baliff came around and told us we should try the margin as there're so many fish! As the wind getting stronger and stronger, we both tried the margin.

Mathew got lots of bites and he landed 2 nice carps there!

Beautiful ghostie, I am jealous!

He also caught a 4lb nice bream.

I moved the peg as I don't wanna pole fish on the wave like mersey river. As my presentation got better, I managed 15 skimmers and 2 carps there.

The condition of the fish at the match lake is spot on! We will fish the match lake as it seems got better quality fish, and the anglers there are so considerate. I don't wanna fish the pleasure lake, always many people walking around, kids jumping over your pole!
