Round 8 report and results.

Well round 8 saw us at a cold and breezy Vale park we all met up at the bottom of magazine lane and got booked on the water looked like it was going out slowly so at 12.10 the gully still had water in it so I went down and checked the depth and it was only a few inches deep to the left so we all walked out on time.we made our way to our chosen spots and all set up and all in was called at 1 o'clock. Fishing was slow from the start and it was a while before whispers of anyone catching a fish started to travel up the beach as we got to low water not a lot had been caught with only a few in size dabs being reported and Dave Radcliffe had the best so far with a 28 cm plaice but he needed to find a whiting as the tide turned we hoped things would pick up the conditions were cold on the beach with the wind straight in our faces. So with an hour to go and a lot of people had a single in size fish on the card and a few had a few under sized fish which would count as an extra species. Unfortunately not alot changed and soon enough it was 5 o'clock and all in was called, and a few fish came in but would it alter the results so back to the car's for the results and a very welcome hot drink or soup ,so once All card's counted the results were in. David Andrew Lunt took first place with his last cast retrieval making the difference landing a 29 cm whiting to go with his dab for a total of 54 cm. This dropped Dave Radcliffe into 2nd place who had a plaice and a whiting for 54cm.
3rd Rob turner
4th Jonny Kirkham
Jeff White
Gary swift
7th Ian Williams
8th
Dylan Kensall
Connor Whittingham
Tom James

Biggest fish was Dave Lunt with his 29cm whiting.
Most species went to Dave Lunt with 3 species again piping radders by 1cm.
Overall fishing was very poor maybe it was the east wind but even though it was a cold day it stayed dry which made it feel a bit better .
