This post might come across as a bit strange but in my own fishing I also like to understand HOW AND WHY others do things.
PLEASE POST A REPLY IF YOU READ THIS AS.
This post might also help Wirral sea fishing forum if others know what people want maybe we could put more on of the things you want
to read or see ?

So let's start with INFORMATION where do you look or search for things regarding anything sea fishing ??? And why if you don't mind answering.

Are you an all Year round angler or just a summer / winter / angler.
Do you experiment at venues like fish different parts or the same place ? / do you try fishing different times/stages of a tide outside of the standard 2 hours either side of low or high water's.
Do you experiment with conditions at venues you fish ???

Do you just hope for a catch or go out and target a particular fish ? / What type of fish would you like to catch ?

I go back through old reports on WSF and search on you tube

I collect as much as i can,blow,blacks,crab,razor

I like to try different venues on each side of the country for bass and cod in the main,with the odd session for small eyed rays in the autumn/pleasure fishing.
What type of fishing do you like ? . / Any / Beach only due to preference or mobility / Rock fishing / Promenade fishing
Are you an all Year round angler or just a summer / winter / angler.
I prefer a good beach,but will do the odd rock mark...prom fishing is not for me...these days i tend to sea fish from Sept to Feb then move over to coarse fishing

All of my local cod fishing will be at Seaforth,which is a venue i know well and will fish pretty much the same spot...for Rossall area i`ll try some of the different marks,for a change more than anything else.

I usually target a species,either bass,cod or rays or plaice...not really interested in anything else

Do you mix and fish with other's or just fish by yourself or with a mate ????
I fish most of my sessions with my best mate Lee,but always post where we`re fishing in case anyone wants to join us

I usual start by asking fellow fishing buddy’s all on the site or search old reports off Wirral Sea Fishing

Bait ? do you collect your own or just buy what you need .

Buy most of my bait, I might pump 2 or 3 times a year on the bigger tides freezing them down but when it come to Black Lug I’m in the mindset that fresh is always better.
Having said that I usually have a few sessions a year of pumping and fishing for the Bass when the conditions are right.

Fish mainly north wales and the Mersey
Usually have a few sessions while I’m away on holiday to see if I can winkle anything out.
Also lucky enough to fish a week in Norway this year but don’t do any long journeys up and down the country with me having a fairly young family.

Pleasure / Match fishing / Specimen fishing

Do all of the above
I do like tontargeting a species and I do prefer to keep improving on the species size.
Not interested in the mini species and a bit disappointed in the smaller sized fish of any species I haven’t caught before to be honest but it’s always better than a blank

I’ll fish anywhere and like to mix it up but do prefer an early morning or evening session on the beach or rocks

I do try now and and again but don’t get as much free time to experiment so like to try and improve my catch rate with the most common fishing times for that particular venue

SO NO SURPRISE HERE AGAIN WHEN ANYONE POST'S SOMETHING OTHER's CAN HAVE AN INPUT ON OR START ASKING QUESTIONS. TUMBLE WEED

SO ALL I CAN SAY IS ? / I can 110% guarantee things done in the open will help all anglers and this sea fishing site .?
An open source is generally of correct information and not the misleading or false stuff on other thing's / as you will soon get pulled up if its just S@@@

The next few month's is a good time for anglers to start going out of their way and joining up with others to either catch a fish they whish too target or fish a venue they would like to have a go at. or just go fishing with some company .
Most of the fishing will probably be done of an evening or of a weekend night

Where do I look? - This site is my first port of call always, got me back out after about 25 years of no sea fishing. I keep half an eye on Facebook for catch reports and watch one or two YouTube channels for info on methods etc.

Bait? So far always buy it, often big frozen orders to keep a stock. Time poor and not local to any shops so like the option of being able to go straight out fishing from home/work without having to go via an open shop.

Where? Wirral LW marks, Mostyn, Talacre, Fylde, occasional Anglesey. Eastham at high now and then in winter for the cod. Keen to branch out when time allows. Beach always first choice, public proms last choice.

Type? Usually species targeted pleasure sessions.

When? Year round, thinking of mixing it up a bit more and getting the coarse and/or game gear out from time to time again in the summer, largely as tides don’t always line up with when I have free time.

Experiment? Usually quite conventional re tide times, often experiment with other baits on one of the rods.

Who with? 99% of the time on my own, not averse to fishing with others but tend to go at odd times at short notice when it fits in.

Even with only the 3 replies you see how different we do thing's and how we find it hard to get out fishing ???

I must admit the whole point of the post was so other's could reply with what they do ??? and then other anglers could read and pick out anglers in the same position as them making it easier for people to arrange a get together for fishing and learning off each other ???

But as is the way people can't be bothered / I am speaking with other anglers in conversations and they say yes seen or read that on Wirral sea fishing . BUT DON'T enter any reply .
When I say why THEY have just said it's a waste of time THAT'S THE PROBLEM if no one can be bothered then their is nothing for other's to read or look at If thing's are slow or no activity it's because you don't help or contribute

Even the match fishing section has the same sort of thing going on ? from what am seeing .

I myself like to help anyone if it's for the right reason ? But am not prepared to spend my time learning and gaining experience ? just to give it away to other's that can't be bothered with thing's.

I have and always will enjoy my own fishing / even when times are tough I made the effort to get out fishing alone or with others in the same position as me .

Don't see thing's changing sadly judging by the short time I have been back on this site ?
I have said it before all them that can't be bothered will be the first to say shame that was a good sea fishing Forum

Fair do's to you Brian, you say it like it is, and you are right about the "Can't be Ar$ed" types.
I have been fishing for a good length of time now, but consider myself an "Average" kind of angler...
I always visit this site, every day, it is THE place for info, and I have learned so much from the guys on here, the Matches, where you get to fish all sorts of venues, and all the great advice too...
Can't wait to get out digging bait again, now I have had one of my knees replaced, things are looking up...
There are far too many "Experts" out there, a good few years ago, I was fishing Tywyn Beach, a bloke comes over, leaving his rods unattended, and telling me all about how much of an Expert Tywyn Beach Angler he was. Tywyn is my fave Small eyed Ray venue, not monsters, but they are there...
This day though Bass was my target, this guy didn't stop telling me I wouldn't catch with that rig, or my rag bait, until I caught a nice sized ass, he walked away in disgust!!!
Experts eh?
