Am looking at 2 trips one back at the Bristol Channel that would be for me a target fish of Blonde ray and Spotted ray ?.
Am waiting for Jimmy the Blue to get his thoughts on when he fished Monknash / As I am personally am not wanting to fish rock venues or docks ???
I would much prefer to just fish beaches. So still re-searching but Monknash looks a good starting point as the beach looks good and can produce all sorts of fish plus their is a caravan site just up the road and nearly all Welsh venues that are known for blondes and spotted are within 15 - 20 mile's away from Monknash so a good base. we could either fish the same venue or we could go to a venue of your own choice and just compare results back at the sleeping/eating caravan base ?
I have not decided what months as yet for Bristol Channel as is very hard to get detailed information on
The feedback am getting from local anglers is February/March is the better month for blonde ray / need to do lots more on this first or just have a day trip and suss things out before a big adventure with others Chesil would be the same thing have a base to sleep/eat out of. / probably fishing around the end of October / November time or again the start of next year
Again I need to do my research more before committing / Again for me it would be targeting things not available by me ? and just experience a different type of fishing where you can just setup and fish low to high without moving every 2 minutes
