Round 2 Preview Talacre 4th June

Post by Dyl »

Round 2 sees us at Talacre
Booking on will be 13:30- 14:30
Bait orders in the usual thread
Fishing 15:30 - 19:30 - Low Water 18:30

We will be fishing 3 down and 1 up and a total length match as usual.
Main target to get our length up and also good sport will be Smooth Hound. They can show up consistently throughout the session or should be there at the all in then again as the tide turns. Main bait for the Hounds will be crab but they are caught on Prawn, Squid and Ragworm also.
Should be plenty of dab to keep the score card ticking over mid match and also a good chance of a Bass at any distance on fresh lug.
Travel light as it’s a bit of a walk.

As well as having the longest fish pool which will hopefully be a nice hound this week we will add an extra pool for the longest fish other than a smooth hound so everything is worth catching.

Shore Huggers are having a match the day before. ;) I may attend the shore huggers meet if i do i will add a full report on what was caught and what baits worked best when I get back probably about 9pm.
Cheers
Mark D

Not sure yet
If the beach car park is open we will book on there. Mark will have a better idea after he fishes the shore huggers match on Saturday so will update then
Best off lift sharing if possible though.

i will update on saturday night. But I will try and get in the beach carpark but if its busy we will probably be split between all car parks so i will take spare match cards on the beach if anyone is running late so you will still be able to book on on the beach.

For a 13:30 book on, can't see us getting anywhere near the beach car park. Weather looks sunny and hot
Only here for the cod!
