Round 1 Result Perch Rock - 14th May

Post by Dyl »

Round one saw 13 anglers at the back of the Fort. With not many recent reports at this venue and a few of the members having scratchy sessions earlier in the week, plus a blisteringly sunny day it was going to be a tough match. But every tides different and most had some fresh crab hoping for an early Hound on the flood or any of the other usual suspects. We had the beach mostly to ourselves with only 3 other pleasure angles on the beach before us. Most anglers favored left of the green buoy so myself, Ava and Dave Roberts didn’t have many options.

Good to see everyone again after a longer than normal break with a few unable to attend and a newbie

I had fish in front of me from the off but this wasn’t the case all the way along the beach unfortunately  with a bag consisting mainly dabs, a couple of dogs and a few whiting thrown in the mix. Sorry wasn’t paying much attention to what else was going on

No Rays shown up but Rob Caught the only Hound of the match as the tide turned a cracker at that 84cm giving him the longest fish pool plus securing him third place.
