Round 2 Result and Report

Post by Adam Roper »

1st - Dale Edwards.......................79cm - 11 Points (£21)
2nd - Dave Radcliffe.....................71cm - 10 Points (£14)
3rd - Gary Swift..........................44cm - 9 Points (£7)
4th - Mark Davies........................27cm - 8 Points
5th - Dave Roberts.......................25cm - 7 Points
6th - Jeff White..........................0cm - 1 Point
6th - Richie Fisher.......................0cm - 1 Point

Longest Fish Pool....................Dave Radcliffe - 48cm Ray (£7)

Low turnout at this one due to the late change to time and venue which was in itself due to issues with attendance, never the less 7 anglers turned up to have a bash for a flat and a round at Mariners Wharf.

Dave and Dale ventured over to the Brunswick Dock side whilst the remaining lads fished the bull nose and they were vindicated in their decision as they had by far the best of the fishing taking 3 Rays each including the two biggest at 45cm for Dale and 48cm for Dave which gave him the longest fish pool.

The fishing on the bull nose was decidedly harder and the other 5 anglers were scratching around for a fish with Gary Swift finding the best of them with a 44cm Ray for 3rd place.

So it came down to Dale and Dave and as ever in this format the flat fish would prove pivotal, with the two of them being the only two anglers to get the combo, it would be Dale to come out on top with a nice Flounder of 34cm to give him the win with Dave finding a 23cm Dab for 2nd.

We now move quickly to on to a hopefully better attended match in Round 3...................
