fishing sessions

I intend to fish some very early morning sessions local this week continuing the fishing for thornback ray's .
Then fish Wales on Thursday night and again with my brother Sunday fishing from low up to high and back down to low again.

Am going to be very boring over this winter period and just fish 2 local venues and give them my full attention hoping most sessions will be right time right place .
The venues will be.
New Brighton main target prime winter Dab's and see if I can find any codling?
Vale Park target the larger thornback ray's and cod.

With the cost of living going up all the time,i`m gunna be staying local this winter....Seaforth ,both from the rocks and the beach by the radar will be my main venues,with the odd jaunt up to Rossall....only interested in cod....one thing i will be doing this year,is going back to using blow lug as much as poss.

yes kev me and our graham have put a lot of time in at Vale ? started out with just small one's but over the years their is a definite period of when the bigger fish seem to to there / also we are getting to know the tides and small areas that fish better than other parts of the beach / but in saying this we still have blank sessions when we get nothing

I do think just concentrating on one venue pay's off with catch rate and understanding of sections of the beach plus what tides? / don't know if you just get lucky with fishing the same place or you just end up being in the right place right time thing

My update looks like its just local fishing available .
looking at the weather we have a couple of windows when the wind is blowing across or out ? so it should be fishable for the few hours I need.

I have been looking for some new spots for fishing over the winter mainly targeting codling ? found 2 locations that looks like they might produce something so will be giving them a go and let you know how I do.

That's the problem we have with not doing high water prom fishing it is a bit restrictive ? but I personally would rather not fish than do that type of fishing.
Am ok with local as we still have time had the small eyed as late as end of November ?
Cod seem to be thin on the ground looking at things from all over .

The seasons are out of sync again...last year was ridiculous with the number of dogs still around in November....Blackpool usually see the first codling but they`ve been very quiet up there...i`ll be having another attempt for the small eyed from Ynyslas on the next spring tides as i can`t see the cod arriving in the river until December

I was hoping to get out tomorrow but the tides are all wrong for where I wanted to go an I don't fancy Talacre if it's going to be really windy

one thornback ray and whiting fishing was slow crabs came on the feed 1 hour before low stripping everything I put out
