Weather permitting and all being well, Rowley & myself are looking at fishing 21.30hrs through to midnight ( h/w 22.38). Forecast is good for the session at the moment.

What`s it like in southerlies Mike

At 'dronny' the southerlies tend to come from behind you. Just hoping that the 9.2mtr h/w and a wind (although forecast to die down) will put some surf on and entice some fish in.

I wouldn't bother going up to fish Rossall again in southerlies but wondered if the Dronny stretch was any different....forecasts are changing by the hour which isn't helping.

So true re the weather - yet another lottery. There's a free car park at dronny, which is okay during the daylight hours, but at night I park on the main road and its still only about 100yds to the shore.

Sure you know this Kev, but in case someone who hasn’t fished there before reads this and thinks about going, the main difference at Dronsfield Road to Rossall round the corner ( especially worth remembering if it’s dark ) is if you get there a bit early and the tide isn’t on the way in and visible, don’t wander onto the sand trying to fish it in, if you can’t see the sea from where you are - it’s about a mile away and comes in from the left and the right ( at the same time ) , not from in front of you !!

Easy to get caught out if you’ve never seen it in daylight.

Very true John. It's just a case of setting up on the beach and waiting for the sea to come to you.
