I do use lumious beads on the snood, dunno it that works but they don't put off the fish and add me confident.

thinking to stick a short glow stick on a long tail lead, then I can see my lead flying, or attact some stupid fish in the water

If you like things that glow Kev,have you tried these from Veals.........
Fishtek Glow Grubs
Luminous attractors have long been know to work and these are some of the best we have seen. Fishtek have a special luminous formula and the grubs will glow for 6 hours + after beigning charged for 10 minutes or so. Natural daylight is the best charging medium so by just leaving them out in the sunshine you have an attractor which will glow well into the night. The material grips the line really well after threading over the hook so they also double as a bait stop. Use from boat or beach and fish above natural or artifical baits.

Just a month ago an ebay seller sent me TONNES of luminous beads in different sizes for compensation for late postage..

me and lol have been using starlights added to some of our rigs recently, we have had some good results after dark with them

when you get a pack of starlights it comes with a little plastic tube, i simply thread this on to the snood before tying the hook on

crack the light,shake it and insert it into the tube, ive been using it with pulley pennel rigs and pennel rigs off the boat the other day

when we were fishing vale park the other night with these rigs, most casts resulted in double headers with fish attatched to both hooks
