16ft - Greys Triplex and Century Carbon Metal SRE

Just bought a greys triplex 16ft for £64.99 and a Century Carbon Metal SRE for £79.99. Both in good used condition from Cash Converters in Rochdale.

Chuffed with them both.

Cant believe how light they are!!

1 issue though. Where the rods connect together is really stiff. Is there some oil or something I can put on them to make them easier to connect?

Don't oil the spigots what ever you do. The spigots are not meant to join tight together and there should be about an inch of carbon spigot still showing when they are joined. Do you have any photos of the rods set up?

Ah ok, that makes sense as when I put them together there was about an inch or so to go to being fully tight.

Out of the 4 connections (2 on each rod) only 1 is a bit stiff. It looks like it's not been used in a while (dust etc) so probably just needs a few in and outs.
