LJ9000

Post by morrow »

I know what people are thinking but hear me out ha ha

I recently read somthing about a Chinese reel called a LJ9000 pick them up for around 20 quid after reading some reviews I picked up 2 with postage for 46 quid on arrival it appears anyway to be a quality little reel (its actually a fairly large reel) looked at one of mine closer it seems well oiled and greased and the build quality seems spot on, nice smooth and has a solid feel, Although it's a Chinese reel it is very similar in comparison to the Penn surfblaster (also made in china) for a fraction of the price, only time will tell if it will last but for the price I paid and the amount of fishing I do its a bargain!

It has now however got me thinking are they or could they potentially come from from the same factory except for a Penn badge? Either that or its a good copy?

Give it a test and see how I get on

Worth a go at that price Jay.Put some £5 powerpro on it and you're sorted. Just think you could buy 10 of these for the price of 1 Shimano.

Looks very much like the Penn. Did it come with a spare braid spool Jay?

There is an option for the extra spool mate think it was around 5/6 quid as I bought 2 I didn't think I needed to! I found a review on world sea fishing too sombody had bought one stripped it said he was shocked by how decent it was, just thought I'd post it well worth a dabble for 20 English pounds
