Summer league v Winter league

Numbers are usually up on the winter league,so why is this Is it the time of year Anglers doing more family stuff/holidays during the summer months,or does the format make a difference Are anglers put off from the summer league knowing they have to record as many fish as poss,as opposed to the winter league when only a max of 2 fish count I`d be interested to hear your thoughts

Could be down to the bait thats required. Black lug is easier to get hold off than peeler crab.although numbers for this years summer league have looked good

Good question Kev.
For me, the Winter League format is better, largest Round an Flat to count.
