What line is ok for making rigs?

Hi Guy's,
Its been too many years since I did any sea fishing. I plan to do some in a couple of weeks time along the Pembrokeshire coastline. I am replacing all my lines and thought I would use 20lb Sufix Tritanium as reel line, 60lb Ultima Powerflex as shock and and 20lb Amnesia as snood. Could I use the Powerflex as main rig line or can you recommend something else? Am I going too heavy with my lines? I am not sure whether I'll be fishing over rocky ground or sandy beach.

I would appreciate any advice.

I would be inclined to use proper rig body line maybe Sakuma or Ultima. It should be as strong as your shockleader to avoid crack-offs. Search ebay for rig body

You could get away with 20lb snoods. I've personally found 30lb tangles less around the rig body.

Hi Richie Fisher, Thanks for responding. The website I intend in purchasing all my bits, sadly, do not sell the Sakuma..... what Ultima would you recommend for making up rig bodies?

Hi molehill. The Powerflex will be perfect for making clipped rig bodies, I use it myself but in 70lb. It has very little stretch and knots well, one of the best lines available mate. For flapping rigs the sakuma line is great. Pretty stretchy but this doesn't matter on flapping rigs. Very supple too.
