on the spur of the moment I decided to have a couple hours on the dee tonight, nothing for the first half mile or so then I got bumped by a decent perch on a small crank , a few more casts in the same spot did,nt produce so I thought I,d try something different and put a 3 inch curly tail in a copper colour on and first cast along the bank it got nailed very close in , resulting in a nice pike on the bank which went 12-6 on the scales beating my pb by 2 ounces :D
