Should have tried plans d,e and f,as plan c was a waste of time
Picked Dave up and called into Moreton Angling for a couple of bits....walked out with a new feeder rod,as you do   that Chris fella could sell sand to the Arabs   as usual,he did me a great deal on it,and i can`t wait to get down to the Severn to try it out....nice one Chris 8)
Next stop was Victoria Angling,as Dave needed a new headlight....we picked up another few bits   why is it you can`t leave a tackle shop without buying anything :?:
The newest member of Ray`s family was snoring in the pram (Adam never slept when he was a sprog  ) must be something in the water these days  Ray has a series of matches planned from September onwards (details out soon) which will be along the prom....nice,easy,comfy fishing,so hopefully he`ll have good turn outs 8) I recall the last match Ray did....it was a great night with 90 odd anglers all catching fish 8) i seem to remember doing rather well in that myself, but i won`t keep harping on about it.........
After Ray`s we shot to the crab fields at Caernarfon 8)

The cocks are peeling again now,and there`s some good size peelers/softies to be had 8) Just pull back the weed and have a scrape around :) The question is "Where`s Wally"
Image
If you can`t find him, then crabbing`s not for you
Image
Often you`ll see a large male which is`nt a peeler, but the chances are there`s a female underneath him, which will either be a peeler or softy ;)

Some of them don`t like giving up their bitch, but they see sense with a little persuasion

We collected plenty for the day,and a few for the freezer :D
Image
Next stop was the Golden Cod for a scran, then off to Nefyn. We had a call from Mick Mac,who was on his way,and met up with us at Parsal 8) Sven was having a bit of trouble getting away from her indoors, but assured us he`d see us down there
It was a beautiful night at Nefyn, and hopes were high of some sport   We set up about 1/2 mile from the car park 8)
Image
The timing was perfect....nice big tide, sun going down, plenty of top bait 8)
The odd loon in the background
Image
The hours passed, high water came n went, but the fish did`nt show
The spectre of BDF was looming large, then Mick had a pin whiting to shake him off his back :D and soon followed it up with another pin whiting :D Things were looking good   Then Mick took the best fish of the night........................................................
Image
You`d think,if nothing else, there`d be plenty of dogs around, but it was`nt to be.Just to save face,i took 2 late pin whiting and Dave had 1,so at least no-one blanked
There`s just enough beach to fish a 33.5ft tide, and apart from a bit of weed picked up close in,it was great (apart from the lack of fish) very little tidal run at all, which was a bit odd considering the height
