Picked Dave up and called into Moreton Angling for a couple of bits....walked out with a new feeder rod,as you do
Next stop was Victoria Angling,as Dave needed a new headlight....we picked up another few bits
The newest member of Ray`s family was snoring in the pram (Adam never slept when he was a sprog
After Ray`s we shot to the crab fields at Caernarfon

The cocks are peeling again now,and there`s some good size peelers/softies to be had

If you can`t find him, then crabbing`s not for you

Often you`ll see a large male which is`nt a peeler, but the chances are there`s a female underneath him, which will either be a peeler or softy

Some of them don`t like giving up their bitch, but they see sense with a little persuasion

We collected plenty for the day,and a few for the freezer

Next stop was the Golden Cod for a scran, then off to Nefyn. We had a call from Mick Mac,who was on his way,and met up with us at Parsal
It was a beautiful night at Nefyn, and hopes were high of some sport

The timing was perfect....nice big tide, sun going down, plenty of top bait
The odd loon in the background

The hours passed, high water came n went, but the fish did`nt show
The spectre of BDF was looming large, then Mick had a pin whiting to shake him off his back

You`d think,if nothing else, there`d be plenty of dogs around, but it was`nt to be.Just to save face,i took 2 late pin whiting and Dave had 1,so at least no-one blanked
There`s just enough beach to fish a 33.5ft tide, and apart from a bit of weed picked up close in,it was great (apart from the lack of fish) very little tidal run at all, which was a bit odd considering the height
