OK, thinking of going over to the dark side of Fixed Spool as I'm just not getting out as much as I used to so my casting with multi's is going up sh1t creek.
I've currently got;
Century TT Match (the old 13' one) and TT Sport (the old one) paired with 6500 mag elites.
I've got a couple of the older Penn Surfmaster Reels (a 60 and 70) which are in fully working order so i'm looking for a couple of rods.
Has anyone any experience with Tubertini as a brand? I'm thinking of the Tubertini Boomerang at the moment as it seems to cover everything I'll need it for.
I'm looking to spend about 200 quid each (400 for the pair)
Anyone any thoughts on current Fixed Spool outfits?

Not got a clue about fixed spools but I think Richie Flanagan has played with a few Tubertini Rods.

Re: Fixed Spool Rod
Its a fairly average continental style rod,softer in action than say a Greys triplex was but fine for lobbing 6 oz.
although the rod is rated to 8oz I would not fancy casting that much weight with any force.
I could get one to try as we do sell other Tubertini stuff.

Re: Fixed Spool Rod
