Match Report- N.W.A.S.A.C. Personal Members Xmas Match, Sun 18.12.11, Kinglake Promenade, Wallasey (32 rods).


With very few whiting on offer on a fine bright day, anglers in the know fished at short range for small codling with most of these showing early in the flood tide.
Paul Simpkins, fishing his local prom, managed to catch 17 fish to frozen crab for a winning measure and release total of 354 cms from Zone B with Manx member, Mike Emery 2nd from Zone A.
Some anglers targeted better fish but few were caught; John S. Williams 51 cms codling was the biggest. As usual for this regular seasonal event, there were festive prizes for all afterwards.

2. Mike Emery (Onchan), 301 cms, 15 codling.
3. Gordon Thornes (Connah’s Quay), 230 cms, 10 codling, 1 dab.
4. Bill Lindfield (Greasby), 263 cms, 11 codling, 1 flounder, 1 dab.
5. Michael Brookes (Birkenhead), 226 cms, 7 codling, 2 whiting, 1 dab.
6. Joe Perry (Litherland), 245 cms, 6 codling, 4 dabs, 1 whiting.
