List of members rods possible?

One of the most common questions that gets asked is 'what is rod so and so like for so and so task'', which is the main reason for this subforum.

The ideal is for people to have the chance to actually cast or at least handle the rod they are thinking of purchasing.

It would be good if there was a maintained sticky containing a list of members with their rods, where those members didn't mind bringing them along to a meet, or being contacted as a one off favour by someone who was interested in buying that particular model.

Would have to be on the clear understanding that it might not be convenient to sort out meeting up, so a response was a favour and not taken for granted.


Main problems I can see is just getting spam from the lurkers and people being nervous about posting up that they have £2ks worth of rods. Maybe to get around this there could be the option of an admin (or volunteer) acting as a contact proxy for anyone who was in this position,

Additionally maybe the list could only be viewable to members with a certain number of posts (assuming phpBB supports this).
