Flounders made up catches, particularly as the tide flooded onto the mud with a few eels appearing later. Making his first appearance at this picturesque Dee Estuary venue, Ashley Sampson caught fish from the off with a double header of good flounders on his first cast. Straight peeler crab was the successful bait.Fishing was hard on some pegs and the expected plaice failed to show despite ideal conditions.
