3rd Round of N.W.S.A.C. P.M.s Championship, Sunday 10.4.11 (41 rods)

The weather was predicted to be hot and calm and on the day, certainly did not disappoint. Although the mirror-like Mersey Estuary hardly promised good fishing, shoals of small codling kept the rods rattling, particularly on the first stages of the flood. Some early eels, a few flounders and plaice plus a single dogfish for Team Wales' Wayne McGilloway added variety.Wirral matchman, Bill Lindfield excels at this type of fishing and his winning bag consisted of 22 fish, codling and eels, to fresh crab and prawn, mostly at short to middle range from Zone B. Fellow Penn League front runner and SAMF Masters winner, Alan Price did well to nearly match his score from the less fancied Zone A. Series leader Joe Perry kept up his high standard with a third place.
