zziplex rod build

Post by mark78 »

hi lads, just after a bit of info,i've got hold of a zziplex federation and was wandering on giving it a bit of a revamp, the eyes and blank look in good condition but the butt section has marks and chips on it so is there anyone in the lancashire/merseyside area who can work on this, thinking on getting some shrink wrap just to cover the marks up,would it be worth my while spending on this rod and does anyone know how much it would roughly cost, thanks :D

well worth sorting out good rod you can send it off to summerlands care of Chris dance if you want it like a new rod will cost around £75+
i know there is someone from the merseyside area has done rods for the lads on here and he has a good reputation but not sure what he is called someone will be along who as his address

if its only the butt section then shrink wrap it cost is minimum and its a job you can do yourself ;)

I have a federation must be about 16/17 years old. I'ts in need of some tlc and I'm thinking of a full rebuild as the blank is in superb condition still, it's just languishing in the shed at the moment.
damn good rod though.

Just replace them with new, same size rings, and spacings. Can you get the decals for it?.
