where to pump lugworm

hi all

just got myself a bait pump .... pretty new to sea fishing to be honest ...i was wondering where would be a good starting place to learn how to use the pump and get some worms for fishing and freezing for later

i live in runcorn so the wirral or north of liverpool would be the closest places to go

done that steve ,just adds to the confusion to be honest mate

just looking for somewhere not to far where i can go to get to grips with the pump ,new to sea fishing to be honest ,so iam not to up on the marks etc etc

There is a pumping trip planned for Ainsdale 3-30pm 5th Nov.Park on the beach behind Pontins.There will be a glut of pumping experts.If you can't pump after that you are doomed.

....................and after all the recent talk of pumping and headlamps, it will be like daylight on the beach! It's turning into more of a meet and greet than the fishing the next day!!

unfortunately steve my shift pattern wont allow for friday afternoon ,to be honest its tough to get out at all fishing or otherwise
thats why i asked for info really so i can go when i get the chance ...........

You must have been in the pub Jack.

On a cold day though much fewer will produce casts as well as blow holes.

honestly i walked nearly the whole lenth of derby pool and found hardly any casts normaly loads of casts it wasnt even that cold as far as i can rember. where abouts do you pump at derny pool

Look on the beach by the coastguard station as you come onto Harrison Drive.
