Beach-caster.com? Don't mean to be rude but what kind crapWebsite is that anyway? All links on there appear bogus, they just take you straight through to pages on some kind of non-fishing related LED lighting products company. Did you not think to check things out properly before posting this link on here? It just strikes me as a little odd that you should want to direct the forum members to such an obscure place when there are so many other well known sites (including the very site you are posting on) which are full of quality sea fishing information and already cover rig building in depth.

I think the rig looks great, and I didn't see it on this forum, that is why I directed people to it, should they have been interested.

I was trying to be informative, especially to all of the kind members, as a form of information pay back, who have given me such Great and Very Helpful advice with regards to:

best line brand choice , yellow sufix tritanium, ColinW, benh

best poundage of line for distance casting,18lb or 20lb, ColinW and benh

types, brands, knots for and quality of shockleaders, 60lb drennen orange greased weasle, variation on a bloodknot for linking to mainline, FishingFreakJack, benh

best rod for my money, daiwa emcast fixed spool 15ft, benh

where to get some great bell tip lights, Richie Fisher


and the resounding knowledge that I am not alone in the pursuit of becoming a learned angler, thanks to all of the members mentioned above, including your kind self; it was Great company when we met.

all this kind and helpful information in under a week is completely phenomenal for me; it has saved me so much wasted time, expense, and most importantly has given me a lot more information to teach my younger brother.


to omit causing any offence next time I post a link to another site, I think it is best that I send it to Armchair chat for their perusal first, as in like my suggestions for the forum itself.

Panther, I think it's great that we are able to share information together in this way so we learn new things from one another after all, isn't that what forums like this are for? I just thought you might have checked things out a little more thoroughly before posting the link to beach-caster.com. Don't know if you have tried exploring the site for yourself but it comes across to me as being a very odd set up indeed.

BTW I've found that using metal boom rigs with size 2's fine wire hooks to be a great way to go for catching flatties from the Mersey. Not too sure about the need for attractor blades with our murky waters but would suggest try fishing the rig with line kept on slack side so all hooks are pinned tight to sea bed

I wonder if it is possible if you could help my Brother and I with some fishing area safety information please. At the end of October to the beginning of November, my Brother and I are planning on doing a four hour night session, two hours either side of high tide, outside the egremont ferry pub.

we are planning to fish to the right of the break water rocks, where I theorise the approaching tide would wash up most of the food.

with being new to this fishing venue, and having little information about the area, would it be possible for you and , or other members to lend a general night time safety opinion, with regards to the wider generallity of the night time behaviour of the locals please ?

my Brother is planning on taking a tent, and a sleeping bag, I am planning on sleeping in the car.


I have yet to gleen more knowledge of the wider area, and any advice from a local would be Absolutely great.

for any future night session, I think we may go to Llandudno to fish off the wall next to the pier instead, and book a couple of nights in the Manor Hotel B&B;

it was £22 per night when I last stayed there. I remember they did a very nice, large breakfast.
