Brom Dock - Access Gone?

Has anyone tried fishing Brom Dock lately? Went this afternoon on a sole hunt but couldn't get on, railings up / gate locked, etc. can't find another way through. Anyone shed some light?

Thought there was a hole in the wire mesh fence.Thats where we usually get on.

That's how I remember it Steve. I can still see the path you need to walk down but the mesh fence appears to have been replaced with steel security railings which run right the way through

there has been rumour that the venue will be closed off to anglers, not sure of a reason or even who owns the stretch, but sadly it looks like another venue has been lost.

With the ammount of carp that is usually left by some anglers its a wonder it has'nt happened sooner.

I was told that there was a Health and Safety issue with an uncovered manhole (no jokes!!) that gypsy/travellers had weighed-in, and it cannot be replaced so we can thank our travelling friends for losing us another venue.

Too true Richie, not to mention fly tipping,.. few years ago whilst fishing seacombe area, had the pleasure of watching old fridges and tv's float past..
