Shimano beastmaster AX STC Spin 2.70/3.00

Post by gmonkman »

A travel spinning rod in 6 sections. One section can be replaced with a smaller section to get the 2.7m rod. This particular model is rate 10g-40g, i'd say that is about right and with a good flick, 40grams and 8lb line you can still get plenty of distance (further than the guy next to you, casting out his floppy rod/massive fixed spool £25 combo deal).

Comes in quality rod case.

Old fashioned style cork handles, nice whipping and quality rings really make you feel that youve got something special here. It is almost a work of art!

Its a lovey little rod casts absolutly fine and is brilliant fun to spin and float fish on for pollack, wrasse and bass etc. Not tried it plugging yet - put then i'm no plugging fanatic but by all accounts its up to the job without going crazy and spending £300 on some japenese import.

It really doesnt suffer from being in 6 sections, except for putting the thing together when lining up the rings is a little frustrating when all you want to do is get your line in the water.
Make a difference - take home 1 piece of someone's angling litter next time you are out fishing.
