French booms and Twisted wire booms

Had problems with the coiled main line bunching up to a small point so that the french boom it was supposed to be supporting was just hanging down wards and not at right angles to the main line. So I want to use the twisted wire ones instead but how do you attach them to the main line?
Infact how do you attach french booms anyway? I usually twist the main line through the tringulur bit a few times.

Any help would be appreciated fellas.

I,m not sure that many people use them nowdays,but you could always try search and failing that,Google.

Ive used the 75mm plastic booms but never twisted booms.... ive never even seen them for sale

The french ones are more available than the twisted ones but ive never seen them used!!!! i beleive they where origionally used for boat fishing and targeting flattys at close range! They are attached the way you said

if you mean the twisted booms i think you do, they are really easy to use. crimp-bead-rig body through boom-bead-crimp. either MAC or fisherman will have them in stock. i use the 4" ones.

The 4" and 6" twisted wire booms are good off the likes of the Alex

Debbie Harry was at No1 when I last used them booms , try pinching the top and bottom of the triangle and tying the line directly on to it .

The twisted ones work much better if you put an oval bead in the middle of them and instead of a bead and a crimp either side use a Dernnan grippa stop either side then you can move them up or down your trace.
I rarely use french booms except for flowing traces whilst wrecking but we still sell quite a few so someone must use them

Mind you we still get people asking for metal paternosters and they are so old Steve Duffy and Milly can just about remember buying them

Threw away some old paternosters a couple of years ago, they used to be my dad`s. I`m sorry I didn`t keep them now - they were made of brass so I could have weighed them in
