Preston dock. Look for the Trax centre( dirt bike track). The prom with railings is a short distance back upstream. Plenty of flounders, eels, very occasional bass. Only fish here after a dry spell, any rain pushes the fish back downstream due to the fresh water.

You need to fight for a spot when the fishing is good. Usually packed on those days......

It's called the bullnose and is accessed from behind the marina on preston docks just after you go over the river coming from Penwortham.
It's a safe venue for the kids as there are railings all around. Also some half decent flounders and eels can be caught.
